MI Choice Waiver Program-Your Choice of Staying at Home
MI choice waiver program offers services thru Region VII, A&D, and other Area on Aging Agencies. The program enables older adults and disabled persons over the age of 18 the option of staying out of the nursing home with this important program. In fiscal year 2008, 537 clients were able to remain in their homes and maintain a sense of independence. MI Choice Waiver provides in home care for those who meet financial criteria and are medically eligible for nursing home placement.
